Trivia: Charlie Chaplin Entered a Chaplin Look-Alike Contest ... and Lost!

Charlie Chaplin once entered a Charlie Chaplin look-alike contest, and lost! He didn't even make it to the finals.

In 1915, "Chaplinitis" swept across America and Charlie Chaplin look-alike contests became popular. One such contest was won by a rising young actor/comedian that became quite famous on his own right. His name was Bob Hope.

Not that I don't believe you, but as a rule I'm always skeptical of internet articles that just state a fact without giving any sort of reference.

Reference link or it didn't happen!

Chad, just watch the movie "Lucky Number Slevin" you can hear Bruce Willis talk about it near the begening of the movie.

I dont know if this was documented but I wouldn't be surprised if it's true. Chpalin was famous partly for doing crazy stuff like that.

Well its true but the best part is not really about reference links or related articles. thought need a couple of mirrors to see the back of your ears, would you wait till then to believe it? Bruce Willis says the same thing in lucky numbers slevin.or you need a link to that too
