Nine hotels were built for the media, but only six of them are completed. And even those are running into “opening day problems.” The elevator in one hotel gave out, while the heat was missing in another. CNN booked 11 rooms and only one was ready when the crew arrived. Just how many journalists are trying to sleep in that one room? If CNN planned for their employees to share rooms, that could be a couple dozen! Meanwhile, the correspondents are taking to Twitter to tell us what their accommodations are like. You have to wonder if the same problems are occurring at the Olympic Village and in the tourist hotels. -via Digg
