Buzzfeed presents us with a list of 200 movies, and you are asked to go through and check all that you’ve seen. They’ll total it up for you. Of course, there is much arguing over classic movies that were not included in the list, and some that maybe shouldn’t be regarded as classic just yet. My total was 107, but I do not have an extensive DVD collection, nor is there a revival house theater anywhere near me. I am just older than dirt. Most of the movies I checked were seen in a theater. How many of them have you seen?
I think I may have seen more, but I don't have consistent enough memories to say for sure.
I don't have TCM, so have some excuse at least. A few of them I tried to watch but got bored and didn't finish. For example, I have never seen any Charlie Chaplin, Marx Brothers or Woody Allen movie that I found remotely funny. Same goes for Laurel & Hardy - I thought they may be on the list.
Still, we all have different tastes.
