Many phobias interfere with life, making people afraid to go outside, enter rooms crowded with people, and so forth, but a fear of heights is (arguably) one of the less debilitating phobias.
When you have a fear of heights you can't get certain jobs or behold the breathtaking view from atop a skyscraper, but let's face it- you weren't going to become part of Big Ben's cleaning crew anyway, were you?
And then there are those people who have absolutely no problem working up high, people who don't seem to have an ounce of fear in 'em when it comes to heights.
They are the daredevils, the cool customers who work where only eagles dare, the brave rescuers and bold entertainers who walk the line to our earthbound amazement.
